Grandma Trish visits; Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Stoll visit

We had a nice visit with my (Jacinda's) mom and grandparents. My mom arrived to hot temperatures, but she handled it well. While she was here we went to Wonderland and really enjoyed the water rides. Rick was working that evening with one of our local radio stations doing "Guitar Hero at Wonderland". It was fun!

The next day, we took the family to a chuckwagon cookoff. It was put on by the Cowboy Club and you got to choose which group"s food you wanted to try. They said it was a "sample" so that you could try other group's food as well, but no way! It was too much to eat, and really good. The kids were spoiled that day as well. Grandma Trish bought each of the kids play swords and we bought the kids cowboy hats. It may seem as though we're becoming true West Texans, but no. It's fun to play with it while we're here, but we do miss the west coast and the fast pace life (not that we plan to move back though).

My grandparents arrived on Sunday the 8th. Thankfully they got here before the nice big storm moved in. We really relaxed once they arrived. My Grandma probably didn't relax too much with her cooking and baking. Boy do we appreciate those pinto beans, rolls, cinnamon rolls, and german chocolate cake! Yum!!! We celebrated an early birthday for Kiahna and just had a truly nice visit with family. It was really hard saying goodbye to my mom as she left to go down to Marisa's and it was difficult saying goodbye to my grandparents the next morning. It is so hard living so far away from family! We now look forward to visiting with Rick's parents in a couple weeks.
