Well...our family hopped in the car to take another long road trip this weekend. The main difference is that we stayed in the same state this time, and it is about 8 hours shorter than our trip to CA. We were so excited to visit Matt, Marisa and the kiddos this Labor Day weekend. Trevon and Kiahna had such a good time with their cousins, while Rick and I enjoyed catching up with Matt and Marisa. It's hard living so far away from them. Trevon and Tyler played video games all weekend long! I think they were both so happy to share their love of competition with each other. Kiahna, Sadie and Kaela all enjoyed jumping on the trampoline while the sprinkler sprayed them. We spent a lot of time playing Guitar Hero and singing along with High School Musical on the Wii. We really didn't get out and do much, but we had a really good time! We did go out to dinner at the Gristmill on Sunday night and we had a movie night with the kids afterwards. We watched Nims Island (with skips and all). Before we returned home on Monday, we took a quick little jaunt over to the outlet centers in San Marcos and had lunch at McDonalds with the Hockman's. It was difficult leaving the beauty of the Hill Country and family behind, but once again, we are back in the flat desert void of family. Woe is us!J/K
